The Criminal Investigation Division (CID) conducts criminal investigations and more, including missing person and runaway cases, lost and found property, Crimestoppers support, Crime of the Week notices, public programs, and presentations.
Criminal investigations may involve drug and narcotic activity, financial crimes, domestic violence cases, gang activity, property crimes, and crimes against persons.
CID also serves and protects the health, safety, and welfare of the public by enforcing laws governing public morals, public order, and decency. Investigators may work closely with other law enforcement agencies to solve crimes and get to the truth. Detectives build cases against criminal suspects and testify in court when needed.
