RSVP is America’s largest volunteer organization with 330,000 volunteers across the country who are tackling tough issues in their communities.
Sponsorships
Runningwater Draw RSVP is sponsored by the City of Plainview and housed by the City of Plainview in Unger Memorial Library. RSVP provides volunteer opportunities for persons 55 years of age and over who reside in Floyd, Hale, and Lamb counties.
Purpose
The purpose of RSVP is to meet critical community needs, make a positive impact through their volunteer efforts, and to provide a high-quality experience that will enrich the lives of the volunteers.
A national program, RSVP is partially funded through the Corporation for National and Community Service. In addition, RSVP receives financial support from the State of Texas and through fundraisers and donations.
Role of RSVP Volunteers
RSVP members give of their time by volunteering at nonprofit agencies, public organizations, faith-based organizations, or proprietary health care facilities. Volunteers choose where they want to serve and the amount of time they can donate.
