Contractors for the City of Plainview completed construction on the all-inclusive playground equipment at Broadway Park, 100 S. Broadway.
The playground includes a large accessible play structure, outdoor musical play instruments, swings and a new STEM component known as the Sona Arch.
In Fall 2023, Plainview citizens unanimously chose the current design after public comment on two different playground designs. It was presented to the Parks Advisory Board and approved by City Council. The project is an approved American Rescue Plan Act project costing $572,604.
