The theatre box office generally opens an hour prior to showtime. Patrons are encouraged to arrive 15-30 minutes early in order to purchase tickets and find their seats.
The Fair Theatre does not have credit card capabilities, but does accept cash and checks.
Secondly, the firefighter may be learning a particular part of town by driving that area to familiarize themselves with the streets, dips, curves, etc.
Thirdly, we perform periodic checks of fire hydrants throughout town. This includes driving by the hydrants to check for damages, paint condition, location, etc. However, all units are available for immediate response to an emergency if needed.

You can apply online by visiting the City's Career Portal and creating an account. Once your applicant profile is created, you may apply for as many positions as you are interested in.
Note: Since launching our online application process, we no longer accept paper employment applications and/or attachments. If you do not have access to a computer or if you experience difficulty with the online application process, please feel free to stop by City Hall, located at 202 W. 5th Street. A computer is available in the HR Department lobby for job-seekers to utilize for the purpose of submitting an online application for employment.
Only applicants who are scheduled for interviews will be contacted by phone; all other applicants not moving to the interview stage for a particular position will be notified of such via e-mail.
Once your account is created in the City's Career Portal, your information stays in the application system. However, as vacancies arise that you would like to apply for, you need to apply for each new position trhough the portal. You can update your information as needed and continue to apply as you wish.

Leaks from the meter to the main water line in the public right of way (street side) are the city’s responsibility.
Leaks from private water systems (i.e., apartments, shopping centers, etc.) that occur in parking lots or landscaped areas are the property owner’s responsibility.
To set up a new service, come to the Finance office at 202 W. 5th St. with the following documents: Application for Water Service, deposit for water meter, and a valid identification card.
The system will not let you change the amount when you pay online, therefore you will need to pay the total balance. If you want to pay a different amount you can do so at the office, by mail, or make the payment at our kiosk located at: 202 W. 5th St. Plainview, TX 79072
